Create an account¶
This page explains how to create a MatStream account, confirm your email address, and sign in for the first time — with a password or with your Microsoft or Google account.
Register¶
Navigate to app.matstream.com and click Create an account.
Prefer not to manage another password?
You can skip registration entirely and click Continue with Microsoft or Continue with Google on the sign-in screen. MatStream creates your account from the verified email address of that provider — no confirmation email, no password. See Sign in with Microsoft or Google.
Enter your email address and choose a password, then click Register.
Invited by an administrator?
If a workspace administrator has added you to their workspace, you will receive an invitation email with a registration link. Click the link in that email — your email address will be pre-filled on the registration page.
Confirm your email¶
After registering, MatStream sends a confirmation email from noreply@matstream.com with the subject Confirm your registration.
Open the email and click Confirm registration. Your account is activated immediately and you are redirected to the sign-in screen.
Tip
If the email does not arrive within a few minutes, check your spam or junk folder. If it is not there either, go to the sign-in screen, enter your email address, and click Resend Confirmation Email.
Sign in¶
On the sign-in screen, enter your email address and click Next. Then enter your password and click Sign in.
MatStream checks your workspace access and redirects you automatically. See Accessing a workspace for details on what happens after sign-in.
Sign in with Microsoft or Google¶
Instead of a password you can sign in with a Microsoft account (work, school or personal) or a Google account. On the sign-in screen, click Continue with Microsoft or Continue with Google, choose the account you want to use, and approve the request the first time.
MatStream links the provider account to a MatStream account by email address:
| Situation | What happens |
|---|---|
| You already have a MatStream account with that email | It is linked; you land in your workspace as usual. Your password keeps working alongside. |
| No MatStream account with that email yet | A new account is created, already confirmed. No password is set. |
| The provider cannot confirm the email address | Sign-in is refused. Sign in with your password once, then use the provider button — it links to the account you are signed in with. |
After the first sign-in the link is remembered: MatStream recognises the provider account itself, even if you later change the email address at the provider.
Accounts without a password
An account created through Microsoft or Google has no MatStream password. You do not need one — MatStreamConnect offers the same provider buttons — but if you ever want one, use Forgot password? on the sign-in screen to set one.
Wrong account chosen?
The provider always shows an account picker, so you can choose between a work and a personal account. If you end up in the wrong MatStream account, sign out and pick the other one.
Forgot your password?¶
On the sign-in screen, click Forgot password? after entering your email address. MatStream sends a password reset link to your email address. The link is valid for one hour.
